WHAT IS THE DARJO FOUNDATION?
Charlie Darmanin was an immigrant from the island of Malta and his wife, Josephine, came to Puerto Rico from England. Arriving in 1956, from day one Charlie was determined to find ways to improve the lives of those less fortunate.
Both Charlie and Josephine gave unselfishly of their time, energy and resources to assist others and as part of their legacy, they formed the DARJO foundation.
It is our wish that Charlie and Josephine's love and generosity to renew Hope and continue to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of those touched by the DARJO foundation
Our mission is to donate $200,000 USD per year to those people and organizations that meet the criteria outlined on the site.
The overall donation budget and recipients are decided by the Board during the annual meeting. When new opportunities to help arise throughout the year, the administrator sends the information to the Board and Board members vote by email.
